Ability to set reload depth of state to specific depth (parent or grand-parent) not to the root/base state #1711

As I understand it, force reloading a state will also reload and re-resolve the state's parent and grand-parent states as well.

I was wondering if it is possible to limit the reload depth to just the the parent state or a descendant state?

Looks like I didn't look hard enough. Appears to be a duplicate issue #1612.
