Is this planned or not? Thanks.

I really miss having this extension since I upgraded to VS2017. As far as I know, the only alternative is the NoMorePanicSave2017 extension which doesn't work nearly as well in my opinion.

I'm miss this extension as well. Do you plan to update it for 2017? If not, would you look at a PR?

Hi @BillZiss, I'm maintaining a version that works quite well under Visual Studio 2017 here:

@pragmatrix I get message "The following extensions are not compatible with Visual Studio 2017. Installation may cause Visual Studio to be unstable" when I select Visual Studio 2017. As much as VS is unstable enough these days, I may give it a try but would be nice to get rid of this message.

@dpen2000 I've built SaveAllTheTime with VisualStudio 2017 and the warning disappeared. The updated version is here: https://github.com/pragmatrix/SaveAllTheTime/releases/tag/1.4.0.4.

@pragmatrix Awesome. Be great if you submit PR so it can become official version in gallery.

@dpen2000 I would, but it does not seem that @paulcbetts is anymore interested in merging PRs (#50) or in updating the gallery (some important fixes in the master branch are missing from the gallery, too). Also I've read somewhere that he is not using Visual Studio at all.

@pragmatrix Preferably, then we ask @paulcbetts to transfer repository over to you. That bit is easy as long as he's happy to do that. Not sure how he would transfer ownership of the project in the gallery. Repo is a good start: assuming you're happy to be official maintainer, it would be less confusing if you had main repo, rather than a fork. Once we have repo sorted we can see if anyone on twitter has experience of the gallery move.

@paulcbetts Are you happy to transfer this repo over to someone else?

@dpen2000 Good strategy, but someone else has to step in as maintainer. I'm supporting this extension only as long it complements my extension BuildOnSave. May be @alastairs. Anyone?

I’m not using SATT any more due to lack of support for more recent versions. I could take on maintenance of the project in theory. I’ll install @pragmatrix’s build and make use of it this week - ping me again on Friday or next weekend 😁

For future users .... This (at first glance) works perfectly for me, on VS 2017 Pro, but the install is fractionally more involved than normal.
