I'm the author of Doodle. I noticed that this project started adopting it for the UX and I'd love to know if that work will continue. And what your overall experience with the framework is.

Thank you for taking interest in my project! It is still a work in progress. I've found Doodle to excel in creating dynamic elements and the rendering system works great. The only thing that can be annoying at times is how child views are always clipped to their parent bounds, just because it's difficult to compute bounds that completely enclose all their children, especially for things like drop shadows.

I haven't yet started to work on the controls (text inputs, buttons, etc.), but my only concern is that I don't quite understand how Behaviors and Themes are meant to be used to style views. Besides that, I think Doodle is a great framework.

Glad to hear the project is ongoing! And thanks for the feedback. I'm close to releasing 0.9.0 (which will make animations and constraint layouts more powerful, among other things); and I'm keen to make the framework simpler and more powerful over time.

The challenge with clipping bounds makes sense. You can extend a View's canvas beyond its bounds using clipCanvasToBounds, but children are always clipped to their parent's bounds (or less). I'll see if this is something I can give more control over.

Thanks for the feedback on themes as well. I'm also working on improving the docs, so I'll try to make their use clearer.
