Unfortunately, the issue that you encountered is not a product bug or a misconfiguration issue - this is a limitation of virtualization of OS X operation systems.
Boxerapp that you're trying to run under already virtualized OS X, is based heavily on another virtualization software - DOSBox that, in turn, uses a Hyper-V virtualization.
Unfortunately, due to OS limitations nested virtualization (and this is exactly what we have when running virtual machine inside a virtual machine) is enabled only for several Windows OSs in Parallels that our developers were able to trick into supporting it.
OS X is not the case, as it is really hardware-reliant (e.g. this is how you get MacBook battery life generally superior to any Windows machine).
For more details on the issue of nested virtualization in Parallels Desktop see the following KB article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/116239
Based on the explanation that has been sent to you, this case will be placed in the "Resolved" status.
I've attempted to run Boxer under 10.14.6 (Mojave) under Parallels.
It crashes immediately when trying to launch a games. For example:
