I am currently using a Shelly RGBW2 with RGBWW LED tape, and I've encountered an issue with how HomeKit manages the color temperature settings. After some testing, it seems that HomeKit is treating the white channel of the LED tape as if it has a color temperature of 5600K. However, my LED tape is actually 3000K. This discrepancy causes the color and temperature settings in HomeKit to operate incorrectly, resulting in the lighting not displaying the intended warmth.

Is there any way to update the color temperature of the white channel in HomeKit or to operate the white channel as a separate dimmer within HomeKit? I would still like the RGB channels to function normally. In the worst case, my workaround would be to switch to 4-channel mode and manually mix the colors in HomeKit. Additionally, it would be a plus if there were an option to define the white channel as amber for RGBA tape setups.

Log output - NA

Environment:

  • Shelly device(s): SHRGBW2
  • Plugin version: v0.19.1
  • Device running homebridge: Raspberry Pi
