Reading the .NET templating wiki there is a section about testing template: https://github.com/dotnet/templating/wiki/Testing-your-templates.

It could be interesting trying to understand how this feature works to add an automated test suite for the template generation.
Ideally it would be great to enable this feature for a 1.0.0 version
