not autoloading Writer's tools DB

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. ran tutorial Register_data_source.avi

not able to find the tabs and menu entries listed
2. attempted to manually create Db. failed.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Writer's Tools Db not 
listed in browse function, could not find on system


What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? OpenOffice 
3.2.1  OOO320m18 (Build:9502) running on Mac OS X 10.5.8


Please provide any additional information below.
I was attempting to add notes to the Writer's Tools DB, keep getting error 
"Connection to the database failed. Make sure WriterDB is registered in 
OpenOffice.org. Read Writer's Tools documentation for further information."  I 
could not find further documentation.  Attempted to create said Db, failed.
