I have been out of the loop for quite a while now. For now, @garlett has been working for porting the driver to Openwrt v5.x and it seems it's working (wasn't tested by me). I'll need to test it in coming weeks once I get my hands on old Tp-Link W8890 model with WAVE300 5GHz.
