On the one side it is convenient to have such a feature.
It is very likely that people will complain if ojotas does not allow doing that.
On the other side, performance wise, if a table contains blobs, jsons, and other datatypes that are not stored in the clustered index the query will take longer and if those fields are then discarded by the user it would make no sense.
Another possibility is to let the user write SELECT * and give a performance hint see issue 13 if the table contains such columns
