• release week updates

• update bug template to be what trss is producing out of the "open new issue" link
• generate a suggested Grinder of Grinders run automatically out of a completed pipeline run (in TRSS)

Minutes for Sept 16, 2020 AQAvit Meeting

Latest activities:

• release week updates - still in progress, but notably issue Ensure proper test coverage for SSL/TLS implementation #1963 is raised which means we need to raise the priority of enabling the extended.openjdk test target, which would catch this type of issue
• addition of Dragonwell - on-boarding the Alibaba Dragonwell team. 3 of their engineers are in the dragonwell channel in Slack and helping work through adding their jdk8/jdk11 builds on xlinux as a starting point to bringing their builds to the project. They will also bring some machine resources. Dragonwell is already integrated into the TRSS Grid view. (related: add dragonwell support temurin-build#2051, Get Dragonwell subrepos #1952)
• quarkus_openshift test added to external group (will remain disabled until clusters available) - @LongyuZhang updated that work has progressed on adding these tests. While there are still infra dependencies the test remains disabled, but he has updated the test material to what has shown to work on other machine resources. (see Added external quarkus_openshift test #1951)
• enabling testing on armv7 - based on discussion in Re-enable testing on ARMv7 temurin-build#2078 with @aahlenst and @sophia-guo, we will enable the sanity.openjdk test target (and others to follow) on that platform (somewhat related to Trigger tests with standard set temurin-build#2024)
• updates to JLM systemtests (to re-enable) - @Mesbah-Alam gave an update on the changes by @lumpfish to re-enable the JLM systemtests

WIP: all of these items are teasers to be presented in depth in upcoming AQAvit meetings

• Grinder of Grinders - @llxia gave a brief overview on this upcoming feature (see draft: Grinder of Grinders #1955).
• perf testing of JRE/adopt_bundle - @smlambert talks about what steps are underway to complete the perf testing (see: Enable perf testing against jlink NRE/bundle with JRE as baseline #1933)
• automatically exclude (and eventually include) test targets - @renfeiw gives update on some work he is doing related to EPIC: Enable a Disabled tests pipeline or workflow #1853 and the ability to exclude and reinclude tests in an automated way (via python scripts and github action)
• updates to latest stable releases of apps in external group - this is on-going work, that as mentioned below in 'ideas' section we can leverage the same ideas being tried for the exclude/include work of EPIC: Enable a Disabled tests pipeline or workflow #1853 to accomplish checking if a new latest stable release of a given external app is available (and then via github action automating the update)

Ideas: plan to leave time at end of meetings to talk about possible ideas that can help take the most onerous/costly tasks or processes and improve/simplify/automate them
