Hello,

A F-Droid developer recommended kboard to me, I installed it, tested it, liked it and immediately started using it.

What I miss in kboard is an option to add labels for snippets so I would like to suggest a tiny enhamcement:

  • Label for snippets - a short label (name) for the snippet is shown in kboard instead of the whole snippet;

Examples:

  • name label for the full name snippet- name is shown in kboard in stead of John Doe;
  • address label for the full address snippet- address is shown in kboard in stead of 10 Downing Street, London, UK;
  • mail label for the full mail address snippet- mail is shown in kboard in stead of [email protected];
  • website label for the full web address snippet- website is shown in kboard in stead of https://www.johndoe.com/;

This may be implemented by adding an additional text box in Edit Key- Label box below Text box. If a label is inserted in Label box this label will appear in kboard in stead of the snippet. If Label box is left empty the actual snippet will appear in kboard.

Without this option for labels that substitute the actual snippets shown in kboard the long snippets are truncated and do not look very good.

Regards

Hello! Bit long winded, but you can kind of achieve this by using custom commands.

e.g.

/name!i(John Doe)
