(There was a similar issue on the previous iteration of the Android app, but I don't see an equivalent issue on the tracker for the Flutter version.) I have a Fossil Gen 6 watch. I would love to be able to use it to access my TOTP codes.

Basic functionality:

  • Install Yubico Authenticator from the Play Store on the watch.
  • Launch the app and hold YubiKey to watch
  • Enter password
  • See list of accounts
  • Tap one to view the code
  • Present YubiKey again if needed to refresh the selected code.

Extra niceties:

  • Allow entering the password using the phone app (and then save it on the watch if desired).
  • Add a button to display codes on the phone app after scanning the YubiKey on the watch.

As far as I know Android watches with NFC only support "card emulation". This means they can be used in place of an NFC card, but not as a reader of other NFC cards. I'd be interested in anything that suggests this is not the case, but if it is then there's not really much we can do.

Unfortunately I believe the same is true for Apple Watches otherwise I would have had the same request as could see some instances where this would be convenient.
