I am trying to get popHealth 5.0 to generate QRDA Cat I files that will be accepted for submission to the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) program. Each such file requires thee Medicare Provider Number, also known as the CCN (CMS Certification Number). This is the six-digit Medicare certification number for a facility. It should appear in the file as an identifier, using the root of 2.16.840.1.113883.4.336. For example:

    <id extension="800890" root="2.16.840.1.113883.4.336"/>

How do I get popHealth to recognize and export a CCN? By the way, there is a specific CCN designated for testing EHR output and that is 800890 as shown above.

popHealth will import a file with a line like the above and not report an error. But it apparently ignores it. Is there some way to have popHealth recognize that certain doctors are working as part of a hospital and that the hospital has a CCN, and then report the CCN in the QRDA Cat I?
