Problem

For users of Openverse it is currently unclear how best to use the result from a hosting perspective. We're already very good about making clear recommendations about attribution, but whether to self-host the image, rely on the upstream provider, or something else entirely is not clear to users.

Description

Let's add something to the result pages to clarify this. Either an informational popover or maybe a link to a "hosting FAQ" page or something like that.

Additional context

We've already received direct messages from individuals asking about this.

Implementation

  • 🙋 I would be interested in implementing this feature.

Assigning to Francisco for design help on this one 🙂 It's low priority though so there's no rush.
