For some reason this only works for me if the gallery does not have a caption set: I will try and work out why that is. Also, we should add some new fixtures to match the new deprecation |

@scruffian this change seems to fix it for me and make it work when there is a caption set. This is the save function taken from the commit just before the one where the element changes were merged. |

I have also added a new fixture to cover this deprecation. |

I created a gallery with a caption using WordPress 6.0.1 (Gutenberg NOT activated). Then I activated Gutenberg trunk and refreshed the editor. A validation error occurred:

What?
Adds a deprecation for the gallery block caption element class name. I should have done this in #41140.
Why?
When we change the save function of a block we need to add a deprecation so that the new code knows how to interpret the old markup.
How?
This just adds a copy of the save function and attributes of the block in the state they were in before #41140.
