I prefer Linux for machine learning tasks like TensorFlow and Keras. Right now I dual boot into Ubuntu but it would be great to just use WSL instead. Do you know if it's possible to enable my Geforce GTX 1080 TI in WSL for machine learning? Thanks.

We cannot implement such feature as WSL do not have kernel.

as #167 mentions, such modification can only be implemented by Microsoft.

There is requests for supporting GPU in WSL like: microsoft/WSL#327 microsoft/WSL#829 microsoft/WSL#1788

You can take a look here in WSL User Voice forum.
