Authoring Tool: Some components are being saved with the field checked = true

Description

For components (and maybe nodes), the "checked" field is being saved when it shouldn't be. Before the project.json is saved, all "checked" fields should have been removed but it looks like in some rare cases it isn't being removed.

Steps to Reproduce

Not sure.

Expected behavior: The checked field should not be saved in the project.json

Actual behavior: The checked field is being saved in the project.json
