PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS (578080) #1993
Comments
Hi @susonwaiba The reports at ProtonDB say that you can't run PUBG on Linux yet: This is because of BattleEye which doesn't work on Linux, BattleEye is some kind of anti-cheat, |
Tested on Proton 3.16-4 Beta |

For those asking, the situation probably won't Improve. While battle-eye (the anti-cheat that's preventing proton from working) has full Linux support, PUBG is using the Windows version of battle-eye which can NOT run in proton due to it's low-level workings. The only way PUBG would be playable would be if the PUBG developers themselves either release a native Linux version of PUBG for Linux, or put out their own wine-wrapped release of the game for Linux that's running the Windows version of the game in wine, while running the Linux version of battle-eye. |
I would love to see Valve/CodeWeavers taking care of Battleye support, they could base it on patches from Guy1524 battleye-work branch |
when will pubg work with wine or proton? |
Gogogo boys! We need pubg on wine Lutris/proton. |
Why was this issue closed? Was it fixed? 👀 |
Not yet. seems proton will not be fixed. |
Let's all write to PUBG devs. |
