I can't get my command to send after pasting in the command-line mode

I am trying to delete all empty lines with the code below:

 {
      "before": ["<Leader>", "q"],

              "command": ":s/^\\s*\\n//g<Enter>",
              "args": []
          }
      ]
  } 

but I get a trailing spaces error and without the Enter . I get the command posted to the command line but have no way of running it, as when I press : , the command gets deleted.
