Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

A clear and concise description of what the problem is.
Some of our research groups want to keep the folder structure of datasets unified. Currently, folders below the group level can be created freely and are not prepopulated, leading to a situation where all researchers invent their own folder structure. For some research groups, this is unwanted.

Describe the solution you'd like

A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.
We would like the option to prepopulate groups with folders upon creation, based on a template. The users in the group would still have all privileges to adjust this structure, but it gives a starting point to keep datasets in a unified format.

Describe alternatives you've considered

A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.
We considered doing this by hand, but the folder structure that is needed is quite extensive so would be a lot of work. iRODS scripts / rules are another alternative but we don't have the development skills to create those
