Polish: Show something else/better on first load of events

When there are very many events, first load takes a long time. We can know how many events there will be, so would it be possible to show the amount of events to load and maybe a counter ticking up?

Another idea is to instead of loading all in one go, load them one by one so that the list of events visibly grows.
