This project was started in 2020 by Felipe Galindo. It is a custom implementation of a Boston dynamics inspired spotMicro Robot.
Initially I printed a robot from this thingverse repository and physically sanded down things so it would fit together.
The first versions were printed in PLA and were heavy, and inefficient. The latest implementation features low in-fill PETG, TPU, & Copper-filled contraction and is able to walk in somewhat unpredictable environments.
First assembled version, could not get get electronics to work and they blew up after only working for seconds.
Same Plastic components, completely redesigned electronic design with a higher-power buck converter.
Added T-Display ESP-32 Coprocessor and rear camera.
Removed rear electronics assembly to save weight and moved Raspberry Pi to the back. Added RPI LiDAR as counterweight.
Redesigned Wire harness. Able to walk in flat surfaces and output data from RPI LiDAR
Replaced PLA Leg Parts with Flexible legs and Carbon Fiber Rods Legs
Replaced PLA Core with PETG Carbon Fiber Core.
Replaced Flexible legs with Carbon Fiber Plate legs.
