My take on this comment is that it concerned primarily the audio validation/access interface, and that anyone, elders, speakers, and learners would have the easiest possible access to the recorded words.
Regardless, having #17 and #71 work would go a long way towards addressing the primary underlying concern.
On the other hand, we might consider some degree of fuzzy matching between search strings that are typed and the recorded audio, and having that as an interim step towards getting to the lexical entry. Something like "I remember what the word sounded like, so I want to start my search with that and see what the word means". Nevertheless, one needs some form of textual input to get started with such a search, pruning the set of spoken snippets (matched with their transcriptions), that the user could listen to, and then select and click which one to pursue.
Even fluent speakers of Cree may have difficulty reading and writing in SRO, so it's best to have audio available as soon as possible.
