As one of the alternative layouts, we have already sketched ones using nêhiyawêwin terminology, which could be provided as an alternative for the plain and linguistic ones.
As a test case, I've implemented the full VTA paradigm layout in nêhiyawêwin, called 'nêhiyawêwin' in:
The version running on my development server looks like the following:
The tooltipcs now provide both the plain English equivalent as well as the linguistic terms, e.g.
There's still a few overall catagory labels (SAP, Third, Mixed) that we might do without, 2) We might re-organize the cells per tense/aspect simply by actors and then goals; and 3) of course the nêhiyawêwin descriptor labels can be modified.
Besides the full VTA case, we should try creating a full NA layout in nêhiyawêwin as well. After that, this becomes a matter of user feedback and opinions.
