Download start: statuses switching in unexpected order

Describe the bug
When a user clicks on the start button, the download status switches from "stopped"->"downloading"->"stoped"->"downloading"

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Add a download
2. Click on "stop"
3. Click on "start"

Expected behavior
The status should switch only once from "stopped" to "downloading".

You can see almost the same behavior when pressing the "stop" button as well.
