For what it's worth, the GFXDevice subsystem would tend to make either approach relatively viable as either route could simply consist of either wrappers or extensions thereof. That being said, we are in fact already looking at a unified shader language one of our contributors has been working on, so by all means, if you have time to elaborate on shortfalls beyond the rather obvious native hlsl/glsl calls we currently use we're all ears. |
