What if we did a "highlights" changelog for each version that displayed on load, and then put a changelog activity in settings that provides a list of all commits? Each sha hash could link to the corresponding commit on github. Just a thought.

I dig it. That would make things very transparent, which I like.
Would the highlights be manually controlled? Would we put it directly into the app? Git?

I'm thinking that the highlights would be some kind of text or markdown file that we check in to source control like any other. The file would be a included in the app, and we would update it along with version number increments prior to market releases. We should probably maintain two copies of the file for Alpha and Beta/Production build types.
