Installing CustomTkinter on Ubuntu and Linux Mint

Hi everyone! I have packaged CustomTkinter into .deb packages, you can connect my PPA and install via apt.

For what?

This has some advantages over the pip package.

• System package format - easier to manage via built-in app store
• If you are writing an application for Ubuntu-based Linux distributions, you can specify CustomTkinter as a package dependency, rather than asking the user to install it separately - you just need to ask them to enable the PPA (which is one command)
• No need to install pip
• Menubar, Messagebox and Color Picker Add-On Packages
• Installation for all users

There is:

• CustomTkinter

Extensions (by Akascape):

• CTkColorPicker
• CTkMenuBar
• CTkMessagebox

Adding this PPA to your system

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:limafresh/unofficial-customtkinter
sudo apt update

Installation

Install CustomTkinter only:

sudo apt install python3-customtkinter

Install extensions:

sudo apt install python3-ctkcolorpicker python3-ctkmenubar python3-ctkmessagebox
