Unsure if it's considered a bug or a design flaw, but it sure is Unfair and Punishing for the Owning Player
will be nice to fix them both (Cliff & Air Vs Air)

Cliff Issues: it's fine if it doesn't hit the target over a cliff, but at least you don't also loose the plane for it :/

Personally I think this is no problem.

Think it's fine. Get better pilots 😂

This is intentional; fixing it would make them deal no friendly fire at all lol

Why doesn't it happen to Raptors and non-SWG Auroras then?

I tested with them both, with Raptors I didn't manage to do it as they go weird on heights. But I managed to kill my own Aurora by flying over the high mountain whilst the others shot at that spot.
As mentioned before on discord, it's most likely to do with their secondary weapon, a second thing happens after the missile has been launched which seems perfectly normal to do damage to units.
The Raptors and Auroras don't have anything extra after their weapons so it's much harder for them to kill each other.

Possible solutions:

  • Add NOT_SIMILAR to their weapon's RadiusDamageAffects field
  • Make jets turn tighter / have more range / faster projectile speed

Another cause for this, and why only some planes from a group are affected, is that planes in the air seem to try to avoid each other to a certain degree, so if you use too many planes, some planes won't have enough space to avoid their own weapons. So it could just be that players shouldn't have too many planes attack at once 🤷

NOT_AIRBORNE then, tox and rad fields use it. That should fix it for most of them except the Mig

Wouldn't that make the Mig no longer do anything against airborne targets then?

Don't really see this as a problem.

Since the Nuke MiG can target air, adding NOT_AIRBORNE wouldn't exactly work, is what Zeke is trying to say I think. This is a non-issue in my opinion, and I don't think it should be changed without causing consequences. (Maybe for the Alpha Aurora it's alright but that thing doesn't even need buffs like this)
