This bug also occurs on Google Pixel 6 (Android 12 / 5 June 2022 security update).
Just mentioning this to say that it's not specific to the Samsung/OneUI device.

Actually, after messing around with it a bit more, my issue may be different.

For me, opening the popup player, the notification appears and persists when switching to the main player or the background player. When starting new video without closing the previous video completely (such as through the queue or starting a video in main/background while a background video is playing or finised playing but still in the queue) the notification persists.

After completing closing the player, then starting a new video in main/background the notification does not appear.

I'm not sure if to open another issue or to not given the similarity.
