Attendance is based on Location.
Take a look at the schema - this will help you understand how the app is designed, but in general it works like this:
Leads can create "Locations", where they can hold "Meetings".
People can attend those meetings by using the checkIntoMeeting function (location) or by using checkIntoMeetingByCode (attendance code)
