Fresh install - database "recipes" does not exist

I've just done a fresh install on my Unraid device. I already have a postgres db container in there, so I set it up connecting to that container with the right username and password but on trying to access the web UI I get this. I mean, I assume it doesn't exist because it is a fresh install, but can it not add the db for itself? How can I add the db so it can work?

create the db with the user defined in the env as owner of the db

Well, ok, but all that leads to is
relation "auth_user" does not exist
...so it feels like the app should be doing this.

You likely didn't setup the database correctly, delete it over and follow the instructions skipping over "Initialize the application"
