Listen Along
This feature provides a web UI that plays what you're playing on Tauon. Its a major rework of the now removed "Outbound Broadcast" feature. Its no longer stream based, so now only works via the web interface, but has the benefit of much reduced latency.
New Mini Mode Style: Slate
Let me know what you think. It may not be final and may be changed or removed in the future. Remember you can access these mini modes by right clicking in the bottom bar title area. You can then double click the title text area to quick activate.
Also due to popular demand, we finally have it, an always on top setting for mini-mode!
Other changes
- Spotify users can now generate a "Recommended" playlist based on a given track.
- Search overlay now includes thumbnails for track results.
- Some Windows specific fixes.
- Various other tweaks and fixes.
v7.5.0
Spotify Feature Update
This update re-works and updates Spotify support. Changes include improved accessibility to the import functions with them being moved to the bottom panel hamburger menu. Also included are new "Show full album" and "Show full artist" functions.
There is also now experimental support for playing audio through Tauon. Due to a technical limitation you'll need to provide Tauon with your Spotify account password to enable this setting. See MENU > Settings > Accounts > Spotify.
Known issue: This feature is still experimental. If audio stops working, just restart the app.
Reminder: A Spotify premium account is required for there features.
Windows SMTC support
You can now play and pause using Windows 10/11 desktop controls.
Support for album art thumbnails and track seeking is not yet implemented.
Other changes:
- Importing MP4 and WEBM for audio playback is now supported. You can disable this in the config file.
- Added new theme "Ash".
- Fixed auto theme colours in radio layout.
- Various other fixes.
7.4.7
Changes:
- Bug fixes
v7.4.7-2
Re-package for Windows. Previous build was triggering Windows Defender. Reason unknown. It does appear to be Windows Defender machine learning that triggers it, rather than an exact known match, so is quite likely a false positive. This re-build named v7.4.7-2 doesn't seem to trigger it.
v7.4.6
v7.4.5
v7.4.4
Notable changes:
- Track info box now shows a length approximation for CUE tracks.
- The gallery context menu now has a sub-menu for image management.
- Album art now shows a fallback for corrupted images.
- The artist list now ignores the prefix
The
when sorting alphabetically. - Various other tweaks and bug fixes.
