7.6.0 (Fan control and monitoring refactor)

Warning!

Configuration format is changed seriously into this release! Backup your configuration using alienfx-config!

• You will lose all fan settings and fan sensor names in case you roll back from this version
• You will lose all sensor names and sensor settings for AlienFX-Mon tool!

Changes into this release:

All tools:

• In case tool start any monitoring/update thread, first update will be immediately. It's greatly improving UI responsibility.

All fan-control GUI apps:

• Completely new internal structures for fan monitoring and data storage, providing:
  • No more incorrect sensors name in case system BIOS/some drivers updated
  • Lower CPU usage at active fan monitoring
  • Flexible curve storage (see below)
• "Overboost" button renamed to "Check Max. boost" for better understanding.
• New button, "Check Max RPM". It's check max. RPM for selected fan at 100% boost. Useful if BIOS report incorrect fan percent, and you don't want (or can't) set max. boost.
• Deselecting fan now keeps it curve until tool quit, it will be restored if selected back.
• "X" button above fan list now remove fan curves for ALL sensors completely. But ask for a confirmation.
• Inactive SSD sensors (with 0 temperature) now will not be into sensor list.
• Fan control does not store last selected fan/sensor anymore - it's not guaranteed it will still present after restart.
• There is no "G-Mode" checkbox anymore. G-mode moved into Power mode list.
• Other minor UI changes.
• Bug fixed: Exception, then click on inactive fan's curve window.
• Bug fixed: A lot of bugs with fan check box selection/deselection.

AlienFan-CLI:

• Minor text and usage changes to reflect current state.
• Bug fixed: Overboost value not stored into configuration in some cases.

AlienFX-GUI:

• Settings dialog UI changed. No more "Dimming power", it's right after "Dim lights" check box.
• Bug fixed: Moving dimming slider does not apply changes until next dimming operation.

AlienFX-Mon:

• Application start to full-working state much (2xrefresh delay) faster.
• Sensors from disabled sources now not retrieved and not shown into both active and hidden sensor lists.
• Sensor source column added to the list. The first letter is a source, the second letter is a type.
• "Reset min/max" in tray context menu reset all sensor values for main application icon, and selected sensor values only for sensor tray icon.
• Clearing (leaving blank) sensor name now restore default source's sensor name.
• Other minor UI changes.
• Bug fixed: Sensor names messed after source change or during value update.
• Bug fixed: Incorrect sensors name created (and stored) in some cases.
• Bug fixed: Incorrect sensor list column sizes (information is not fully visible) in some cases.
• Bug fixed: Main application tray icon not response to user input after sensor icon removed from tray in some cases.
