ruTorrent WebUI stuck on loading after upgrading to v4.1.5-15 #5755

What happened?

ruTorrent WebUI stuck on "Loading..." after upgrading to v4.1.5-15. Was working perfectly fine on the previous version "3.10-14". So I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, not just ruTorrent, but also PHP 7.4 and Apache HTTP Server 2.4, and all installations completed and run successfully, but ruTorrent WebUI still stuck on "Loading...". Everything in Web Station has a "Normal" green statys (nginx, Apache, PHP and ruTorrent).

Reproduction steps

  1. Upgrade ruTorrent from v3.10-14 to v4.1.5-15
  2. ruTorrent package is now running.
  3. Click "Open" button.
  4. ruTorrent WebUI stuck on "Loading..."
    ...

And apparently my old rtorrent.rc settings have been removed after I uninstall/reinstalled, so I changed them back to what I had in previous version, and now ruTorrent package not even starting. Not sure what changed but something is not supported with the newer version? Can a log file show me why it is not starting so I can troubleshoot which setting in rtorrent.rc is not working?

Edit: I changed back to default rtorrent.rc and even that is not working, package fails to start. Had to again uninstall/re-install for the package to start successfully, but still back to ruTorrent WebUI stuck on "Loading".

Edit 2: Again I added my old rtorrent.rc settings, and this time the package starts successfully, but still WebUI stuck at "Loading...".

hey @voidfel, this may be an old browser cache for the web interface causing issues. Please try clearing your browser cache for this website and try again (see #5617 (comment)).

FYI it seems that on Safari 13.1.2 rutorrent 4.1.5 is not working due to a javascript error in rutorrent's code. Will be looking into how / if this could be fixed in rutorrent's own code (there may be other errors down the road...).

For what it's worth it works fine on Firefox 113 (may be working on earlier versions).
