Native XDR will be very valuable. This will allow us to generate a robust & pleasing domain model, and remove the need for two layers of domain objects.

The xdrgen project has rspec tests that cover the extent of the grammar. These can be used to map the test input through the generator to the generated output at ./tmp/generator_spec_java/. I have an implementation that does enums (and also includes the serialisation classes) that can be used as a starting point if desired.
