Running update_VM.sh or ~/devel/SyneRBI_VM/scripts/UPDATE.sh,
rebuilds ITK, hence STIR, hence SIRF. We've seen that one before. It does seem to work ok without it though.

If necessary, after building a new VM, we could do this step manually until we figure out why it happens.
