I'm trying to use the Variable font in InDesign, but whenever I change the weight, width or optical size variables the font changes from roman to italic. This makes it impossible to use the variables control.
I have to use the dropdown font menu to select the font I want (roman/italic, weight, width, optical size). And this dropdown is difficult to use. There are 120 versions and in a strange order. Ordering by optical size would be the most helpful?
I'm using Mac OS 13.1 and the current Creative Cloud.
The problem doesn't seem to happen in Illustrator or Photoshop
