A 96-core 4th Generation AMD EPYC Processor socket therefore consists of 12 CCDs consisting of 8 CCXs or 96 cores in total (192 threads with SMP enabled) with one additional IO die for 9 dies in total.
This sentence is incorrect as it is previously established that this family (and particular models) of processors has 1 Core-Complex (CCX) per CCD. Thus the 8 here are not CCXs but actual cores. Something like "12 CCDs, each containing 8 cores".
The "9 dies in total" also doesn't make much sense, as in this case the package has 12 CCDs and a single I/O die.
