#14 creates stage variables automatically. we need to add validation on the key name to prevent apply errors.

Example error:
Error: updating API Gateway Stage (ags-nn9330ml7b-prd): BadRequestException: Invalid stage variable name: abc-cde-efg. Please use names with only word characters.
