In v.3.1.1 of CPSV-AP, the range for the property dct:spatial in the class Public Organization is Administrative territorial unit type Named Authority List.

Two questions, the simplest first :-):

  1. Shouldn't it be Administrative territorial unit? I.e., a list of concrete administrative territorial units rather than types of administrative territorial units.
  2. According to CMC-R14 in the SEMIC Style Guide, this way of modelling is used when one wants to be specific which controlled list shall be used. However, the Usage note in CPSV-AP says "In Europe, this is likely to be the Administrative Territorial Units Named Authority List ...", i.e., " ... likely to be ..." and not "... shall be ...".
    1. We agree with the Usage note ("likely to be" and not "shall be"), because there might be cases where there will be need to specify other administrative units than the ones that are maintained by the Publications Office. If so, the range should not be a specific controlled vocabulary, but dct:Location (conf. abovementioned CMC-R14), with AministrativeTerritorialUnit as a recommended controlled vocabulary.
    2. BTW, there is a typo in the Usage note: "The value of the properly ..." --> "... property ..."
