This is due to the dynamic linking of old accounts to office365 during sign-in process. On-premise accounts will be synced with their respective office365 profile once they authorise the application to access their basic information, however, if an account name doesn't match exactly on MS AD, the system will create new profile and link it to his account.
The next time the user sign-in, the system will now look on its OpenID instead of name and will now use it for mapping basic information (ex. name, department etc...)
There are cases, e.g., John Doe, Janice Hey, etc. appear twice in the passenger list.
