Another really useful thing imho would be better integration with external PDF software, in particular opening a document on the current page. This is possible with e.g. Adobe reader, sumatrapdf, or pdf-xchange editor.
From what I understand the syntax is usually with /A parameter , but maybe it would be better to let the user specify the commandline to support an even wider range of pdf programs.

The current feature doesn't include the ability to open the PDF on the current page, it always opens the file on the first page. This is especially annoying when the PDF has many pages.
Unfortunately, Obsidian doesn't pass the page parameter (usually /A page=x) to the external app by default. Thus, my conclusion was that it would be a good idea to implement this in PDF++!
Oh now I got your point.
That was indeed something I wanted to do back when I initially implemented the existing features.
Now that you gave me some pointers, I will consider this as a future addition. Thanks!
