Describe your request

Hi,
thank you so much for this great plugin!

Another really useful thing imho would be better integration with external PDF software, in particular opening a document on the current page. This is possible with e.g. Adobe reader, sumatrapdf, or pdf-xchange editor.
From what I understand the syntax is usually with /A parameter , but maybe it would be better to let the user specify the commandline to support an even wider range of pdf programs.
Let me know what you think!

PS: Thanks for fixing the related bug #322 so quickly! ❤️

Currently PDF++ has a few features for integration with external PDF viewers.

  • (Obsidian core) The "Open in default app" command or "Open in default app" in the file menu

Probably I don't fully understand what you meant, but the current features seem to be insufficient for your goal, maybe?

The current feature doesn't include the ability to open the PDF on the current page, it always opens the file on the first page. This is especially annoying when the PDF has many pages.

Unfortunately, Obsidian doesn't pass the page parameter (usually /A page=x) to the external app by default. Thus, my conclusion was that it would be a good idea to implement this in PDF++!

Oh now I got your point.
That was indeed something I wanted to do back when I initially implemented the existing features.
Now that you gave me some pointers, I will consider this as a future addition. Thanks!
