Add a "save button" to save manually the highlights direct in pdf

Hello,
thank you very much for this plugin!
I use the option "direct in pdf", so when I highlight text the pdf reload everytime in obsidian. I know that this is a because of the architecture of obsidian.
My idea is, to add a save button, so the highlights are not save automatically and the user have to save manually, because than there are not the problem that the pdf reload after the auto-save.
However, I currently lack a feasible approach to implement this, and I am uncertain about its viability. Additionally, I am unsure if there is an alternative better solution to resolve this issue.
