render emoji as images in emails #5928
Comments
HI @sampaiodiego does a move from Desirable to Backlog mean this idea is not considered desirable anymore? We rely a lot on email notifications to bring user back to chat, and some way to populate emojis into email would help a lot! |
hey @RichardFoxworthy actually it means the opposite. Desirable column was already removed from newer projects due its unclear objective. I'm moving it to next release milestone, this way it will be prioritized correctly. 😉 |
is this still in the pipeline? emails really look unprofessional with the colon syntax and no emoji shown.. is there a workaround? |
Rocket.Chat Version: 50.1
Running Instances: 1
DB Replicaset OpLog: Disables
Node Version: 4.6.2
We can configure Rocket.chat to send email to users who were not logged in when the message was sent.
Any Emoji in the messages does not get rendered as an image - is is sent as plain text.
Would be good if these outbound emails would render emoji correctly
