knife ssh supports the -G option to supply a gateway host to ssh through. It would be great if motherbrain supported this. I just opened issue reset/ridley-connectors#12 to add support for ssh gateways. This issue is to support any needed changes on the motherbrain side.

I just submitted this pull request. reset/ridley-connectors#13. Would be great if someone could take a look and give some feedback.

@rteabeault Sorry for not picking this up. I feel bad for letting this go. I'll try to make sure this PR is pushed through in the near term. I plan to see what it'll take to rebase your PR tomorrow onto master.
