P2HTML allows for a FormatCode X<> and it is used extensively in the pod sources for Perl 6.

  • X<> is not documented at docs.perl6.org.
  • There are no tests in this module for X<> . I have added tests in the PR for templates. The tests are not dependent on the use of templates.

S26 defines FormatCode V<>, which 'switches off' interior format codes.
P2HTML does not implement V<>

S26 defines FormatCode P<>, which allows for inlining from local files and urls.

  • S26 allows defines quite a bit more that seems to me to be excessive, but at least inlining of content seems useful.
