"Can't get message list" when accessing archive folder of GMail account

Since the beginning of last month I've been suffering from the problem that "Can't get message list" message is displayed when accessing archive folder of my main Gmail account. Very rarely, the list is displayed normally, but there is almost a 99% chance that this problem will occur. This problem never happens with my sub Gmail account. Since the number of messages in archive folder of main account is much larger than that of sub account, I suspected huge number of messages is the source of the problem at first. But recently I noticed the problem sometimes happens when accessing inbox or spam folder too. So my guess may be wrong.

Does anybody else experience same problem?
