Currently when a user makes an edit in Salamati, their username is displayed as the author name, and no email is used. Merge commits now use the proper format of "First Last (username)" as the author and the profile email address as the author email. However, because edits are handled differently, they will need a unique solution. This may require integration work in GeoServer, GeoGit, and GeoNode.
