[Help Wanted] How do I use httpgd's cairo render backend in vscode plot viewer?

I need to plot some single-cell stuff in vscode, it became really slow when the cell number (point number) comes to 1e5 level. based on my experience in rstudio server, I think a bitmap renderer may help with the performance. so I want to know is there an option to tell httpgd which renderer should be used? if there is not I would like to request this feature.
